  1. Note: This page was created for GSAP version 2. We have since released GSAP 3 with many improvements. While it is backward compatible with most GSAP 2 features, some parts may need to be updated to work properly. Please see the GSAP 3 release notes for details. Learn how to make a simple play / pause toggle button to control any GSAP animation (tweens or timelines). Same concepts apply to toggling the reversed() state of an animation too. Watch the video Explore the demo See the Pen Toggle Play Pause by GreenSock (@GreenSock) on CodePen. Core code tl.pause() // pauses the animation tl.paused() // gets paused state, returns true or false tl.paused(true) // sets paused state to true tl.paused(!tl.paused()) // sets paused state to inverse of current paused state. // reverse methods tl.reverse() // reverses the animation tl.reversed() // gets reversed state, returns true or false tl.reversed(true) // sets reversed state to true tl.reversed(!tl.reversed()) // sets reversed state to inverse of current reversed state.
  2. Hello guys, I'm totally new to JS. Trying to learn and improve. I'm trying to build a minimap and move an object that represents player movements on the map. You'll see 2 things in the code. One is a straight line the other one is a map. I was only able to find animated movements. So When the user wants to move the object on the straight line with the mouse, also this movement has to be reflected for the object on the map too. I just want to be able to move that point with the mouse. How can i do it? Best Regards
  3. Hi, I made this tool called ScrubGSAPTimeline a while back that enables you to scrub through a timeline using your mouse. Not sure why I never posted it here. Or maybe I did - my memory is terrible. Anyway you can move your mouse out of the window to play the timeline animation and it plays from where your mouse was inside the window - so if your mouse was 45% along on the X axis of your window when it left, your animation will play from 45% of the way through the timeline's duration. You can also double click to pause scrubbing. This is useful if you want to right click and inspect an element in dev tools. You'll need to set the position of your main DIV/SVG container to absolute (I think!) otherwise you won't see the time display. I use this on every single animation project I make now so I hope you find it as useful as I do. 4. Hi! I'm today trying to get something, but i'm failed. I did own javascript animation platform, that can do part of thing of GSAP! But i need "In-Sync" tweening, basic users don't need that, but for sliders, tab-changed, Timeline GSAP script is best working. Missing some feature i need. TweenMax.to('#element', 1, { width : 200, height : 200, x : 100, ease : { width : 'QuadInOut', height : 'ExpoInOut' }}); // these syntax is for example, maybe have wrong syntax, sorry I can create this plug-in (pls let me read useful docs for creating plugin) and have already? It's reduces memory, CPU and size too. Thanks, Any reply appreicate. Sorry for english
  5. Hello All! So I'm trying to use a Rotation Draggable to control a timeline. I found this topic: http://greensock.com/forums/topic/8842-draggable-parallax-effects-in-edge-animate/but it's for a linear draggable. I tried imputting that code and changing a few things around to make it work with rotation, but I'm afraid my coding capabilities are woefully underdeveloped. If anyone could help out, I'd greatly appreciate it! -mlovett
