Slider GSAP for rtl

Recommended Posts

Hm, I don't quite understand your question. Do you mean "rtl" as in "right-to-left"? If so, what does that matter? I'm sure I'm just missing something obvious.

Hi,

Yes, it's about "right-to-left".

I'm sorry, right to left what? The slider clearly moves from right to left when you press the right arrow.

Please understand that there are plenty of people here that are more than happy to help you learn the GSAP API.

However, taking someone else's fully functional slider and adding custom features that you need for your project isn't really something we have the resources to provide.

Hi @Catalin R.,

I'm afraid there is no ready solution. It depends on whether 'only' the language or even certain elements and the sequence  should be adjusted.

Here is a good report: about rtl .

Otherwise ask @PointC, maybe he will rebuild his slider.

Kind regards

Mikel

I'm pretty confused by the question too. Do you mean rtl languages or the movement of the slider? Some more details about what you're trying to do would be helpful.

What about them? I don't think any of us understand your question. What does rtl languages have to do with GSAP or the slider? If you want an answer, you'll need to provide more details please.

Hi Jack,

I have a simple question:

Does this slider (

See the Pen YRzRyM by PointC (@PointC) on CodePen

) work when we have attribute dir="rtl" on html tag?

Have you tried? I assume you have, and the answer is "no, it doesn't work", right? Did you have any GSAP-specific questions we can help you with?

Hi @Catalin R.,

Carl is completely right.

A concrete question definitely holds here. What surprises me: On your web you praise RTL: 'Multi-language to the very last field'.

Thus, you have experience and can name the specific aspect or show a test case.

Kind regards

I tried it high up on the inheritance chain on the body and it breaks the slider however you can set direction: rtl; in the css  for text block items and it seems to work fine, note you'll have to remove text-align:center.
