Share Posted June 13, 2016 Hi, I wonder if anyone knows how to build expandable banners for any platform not only DoubleClick. Thanks for help. Rodrigo
Share Posted June 14, 2016 Each vendor has their own API, so knowing which vendor will serve the ad is important.
Author Share Posted June 14, 2016 Sure mostly for clicktags, I just wonder how you connect the animate files, collapsed and expanded. How to animate the transition with GSAP.
Share Posted June 16, 2016 Actually the vendor API handles both tracking and expansion/contraction, because tracking metrics include user initiated expansion. You have no choice but to build for the vendor who is going to serve and provide tracking for the rich media banners.
Share Posted June 17, 2016 As Somnamblst said it is very vendor specific, some vendors needs 2 banner files for expandables so for them usually you won't be able to control the animation, they maybe give you some options when uploading and configuring the ad. Others like to have it all in 1 with different divs so there you could just animate the divs with gsap but you'll need to implement some API functions for the metrics... Share Posted June 20, 2016 yep.. i used to be able to supply 2 separate files and they did the connections. Now, it's one file, but I can't seem to get the vendor to send me a file so that I can continue to do the production. I need to know how to do it all in one file. Typically I use Animate, but I can't do it in that program. I'd like to take a shot at doing it with greensock.
